Let's discuss strategy since we have to discuss this nearly every game.

Above game is a perfect example.

My opinion:

If one cop has an inno (Cop A) on day 1 and another cop has a guilty (Cop B), you lynch between Cop B and the guilty. IF AND ONLY IF you believe Cop A is real cop then lynch cop B and if you believe cop B is real cop then lynch the guilty. This is because the guilty could possibly be lawyer and getting the lawyer is better than getting the janitor. This is not a guilty test. If you think cop B is fake feel free to lynch him.

"what if mafia guessed the miller" Assuming villager got janned.... If the mafia fakes a guilty. They have a 1/6 chance of getting cop, 1/6 orc, 1/6 doc, 2/6 blue, 1/6 miller. Only a 1/6 chance of guessing the miller.

So I if I am a blue and I get tricked by mafia cop who faked guilty on a non-pr, I still have a 2/3 chance of getting bailed out by the guilty flipping blue instead of miller. Again, this is assuming I believe the mafia cop. If I don't believe the mafia cop I vote him. On the flip side, if it's real cop that got the guilty AND I believe him, there's a basically 50/50 chance that his guilty is lawyer. Why not get possible lawyer over janitor?

In the above referenced game, real cop got guilty on the miller. Janitor was lynched day 1. No matter how hard boop the miller towntold, she was STILL lynched day 2. The ML was still gone from the town. So in this case, since all townies believed Roo day 1 anyway, they should have no issues lynching Boop day 1 for possible lawyer. And if she flipped miller at the end of day 1, it's fine the ML is gone (like what happened anyway) and you lynch jan day 2. So from a blue's perspective it was literally the same thing since they believed Roo but it was more advantageous to lynch Boop day 1 because:

1) What if boop is lawyer 2) What if roo tricked everyone and faked guilty? There is a 2/3 chance we get bailed out and boop flips blue. In that case, real cop still lives.

Again, it's not a blind guilty test. If town had believed scansquantum then they should have lynched Roo 100%.

Once this strat is understood, maf will stop fake guiltying because real cop won't even be in the lynch pool. Regardless, mafia only has 1/6 chance of guilying the miller.

The ONLY way this turns into a loss is IF the majority of the town gets fooled by fake cop AND fake cop guessed miller. Chances of that are slim. On the flip side, town get bailed out 2/3 times even if they believe fake cop.

Whoops, did the wrong thing, correction coming shortly.

For example: In a game with brown, I was guilty by the real cop as miller, fake cop claimed guilty his lawyer, I suggested cross in guilties but town lynched the real cop and then autolynched me. Sad people dont listen to strat.

Ok brown, So you do advocate guilty test, given that the cop with that guilty is towntelling enough.
In that game which you were talking, there are 9 people alive, I worked my off to get an edgy majority on my cc and I was in no mood to let town split vote and end up lynching me for autoloss(considering if I was lynched it was town autoloss as boop is going to get subjected to triple penetration.)

I always support your strat but it works if the strat is followed unanimously by the town. If you write this strat on the setup, I will plus. P.S. I am done with the self proclaimed EM gods that guilty test is a noob strat.

strategy: play a setup that doesn't suck

Here's an important thing towns need to do way more. If the Janitor is lynched Day 1: PRs claim as PR on Day 2 unless one is dead (if one is janned it will be apparent). If mafia don't cc PR, then town has a 2/3 chance of autowin right away regardless of whether or not the miller is janned or dead, because it will be 2 out of 4 in the blue claims for mafia. Even if town mislynches, then mafia have to guess for doctor at night in the PR claims. If they hit oracle then they're in autoloss since regardless of whether or not oracle reveals town or mafia, town has mechanical autowin. And they can't kill the last blue either because then they'd both be confirmed mafia on Day 3. Cop will get another report on a living non-PR player as well by using this strategy, leading to autowin in more cases, especially if the miller is already dead.

If PRs claim as PR on Day 2 after Janitor is lynched Day 1 and mafia is also lynched, it's autowin because even if mafia hit Doctor, Cop will get a report and from that alone you have mechanical autowin. (ALWAYS lynch guilty in this situation/lynch outside inno if you get an inno in this situation for autowin)

So what should mafia do here? The Nilla should cc Doctor in this situation on Day 2 (by first claiming PR of course). It's their best chance to win, since the Cop is still alive and Lawyer can give the Nilla protection from being guiltied. But if a mafia is lynched in this spot, it's still autowin for town.

Dzanek you are talking about specific situations. In the first game you linked, it so happened that cop got a guilty day 2. That is why JM wasn't lynched. If cop had inno, JM would be lynched. It would have worked the same way if you lynched JM because you believed icemynipz, he flips miller, next day lynch tang because he got guiltied and he was confirmed lawyer, and then lynch janitor the following day. It ends up being essentially the same except if JM did happen to be lawyer then lynching him day 1 would get cop a clean report n2. Maf doesn't always have to fish a pr. They can pretend to be blue/miller. And some people are good at towntelling as mafia. So you should still base your lynch off of your read in cops.

In the 2nd game you are talking about, I would suggest lynching between guilties based on cop reads. That game ended up being harder for you because cop got lynched day 1. Imagine if JM the villager gets lynched day 1, your cop still lives. Imagine if you get lynched day 1, they would actually know you were miller and your cop still lives. Quite surprising that they didn't lynch you the next day for being cops guilty but occurrences like that are few and far between with towns like these.

I like this game. Cop guiltied miller, we lynched the cop's cc. Reason was simply, cop was towntelling, fake cop claim was not supposed to check the person they claimed to have checked and guiltied JM always pushes on the cop claim that guiltied him. If JM was maf, he'd fish for pr but he wasn't so there goes lynching the only maf amongst these 3 mentioned people.

Also there was another game earlier where JM and me were guiltied by both different cop claims. We pushed on the cops that guiltied us. I got my cop lynched, they knew I was miller, guiltied JM wasn't pr read obviously and mafia instead of killing both of us because we were towntelling hard they decided to kill the last villager N2 (one was JM, second janned). Orc didn't focus on us, but on maf, doctor was killed, betmen was put on 3way with me and JM and what did we do? We lynched betmen. Lawyer was dead and I didn't think mafia would guilty nilla so avoiding lynching guilties could put a towntelling blue which mafia doesn't kill because they're focused on pr hunting (which is dumb because why they want doc dead if cop got lynched?)

I agree with brown.

People do follow this strat. But when I am one of the 3 in the cop cc, or the guilty, I get lynched, no matter what. Because people are scared that I might be up to something.

if on d1 you strongly scumread someone who also happens to be guiltied by a cop then you can lynch them, otherwise you do not lynch them.

Like the next time you see someone claim that you need to be good/understand the game to win a trophy or that Jan 2.0 is a setup requring skill, all you have to do is link them this thread.

Imagine winning like 10 trophies on Jan 2.0 and still not knowing how to play it.

Such is the life of Brownpimp.
