I'm surprised people haven't talked about this already (or did but got silenced by some sjws or whatever).
I really want to know what is your people's stance on circumcision? Here we will not be discussing cases where it is inevitable like phimosis. What we will be talking about is circumcision done to baby males or females (but mostly males obviously) and whether religious ceremonies like Brit milah should be legal.
true, i may have used the wrong word, but having to go through this surgery as a kid or teen could actually affect you vividly. not really sure how to explain it. im sure if we go with the technical definitions you are right but you know what i mean.

I mean it doesn't affect you in any way apart from those few seconds when its done? It doesn't have an impact on your life. You don't look down at your click and tell yourself "boy do i wish i had foreskin!"
correct
i look at other men's dongs and go "boy do i wish you had foreskin"

its less "traumatizing" for the person (they wont remember when they grow up if its down when young enough)
thats not how trauma works
its more traumatizing to perform circumcision on an infant because you cant use strong anesthesia without potentially killing the baby. so that coupled with the shock of mutilation on a newly forming brain does cause trauma whether you have vivid photographic memory of it or not, trauma isnt just bad memories
i think there were some studies suggesting men who were circumcised as infants are more sexually and physically aggressive but i cant be assed to write a sourced essay on an obviously bad double standard
as for hygiene thats why we invented the shower

i used a corn husking machine to perform my adult circumcision
...about a month still having to be careful and get back to regular sexual activities. meanwhile, done as a baby, it will only be a matter of days, maybe a week to be back to normal.
So, you're saying babies can resume their sexual activities after just about a week? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
plz i mean normal as in not hurting anymore, etc
Do an AMA thread about your life before and after circumcision

Children are naturally curious about their bodies and sexual functions – they wonder where babies come from, they notice anatomical differences between males and females, and many engage in genital play or masturbation. Child sex play includes exhibiting or inspecting the genitals. Many children take part in some sex play, typically with siblings or friends.

i dont really agree with it...like you're born with foreskin for a reason
yeah, in older times it did a good job protecting. nowadays with clothes there isnt a reason, really.
ok but outside of america
most people in 'older times' didn't do it
and they were just fine
indeed. but sometimes there are medical reasons to do it, like it was in my case. I had phimosis, for example (warning: shocking pics in google images). and if your family has a history of phimosis or something else, it is better to do it as a baby than as an adult or teen since it'll make the recovery time better.
doing it for religious motives is debatable. i think most religions have bigger issues to talk about than wheter or not they take off 2 centimeters of skin out of a baby.
doing it or not doing it is honestly irrelevant unless you have medical reasons to do it. im neither for or against it.

but doesn't the foreskin protect the head's skin from getting too dry and also the nerve endings on it from having contact with stuff and getting numb?
yes, circumcised makes it less sensible to stuff like cloths, but for everything else its the same.
as for the dryness, yes, i guess its slightly less dry but that only matters for the first minute or even less during sexual activities, its not really relevant, and def not a determinant reason to not do this.
