anna is extremely introverted, and is described as always having blank facial expressions. she is extremely artistic and spends most of her time drawing and would rather not talk to other people. when she is alone, she is rather sad and seems to be depressed. after having to move to the countryside to deal with her asthma, she finds herself being forced to befriend her neighbors' daughter, whom she ends up insulting and lashing out at. anna reminds me of you because you are very private and quite introverted despite what others might think. you are polite and nice but will roast people when you feel they are deserving of it. you can be sad at times, like anna, but in the end anna finds peace and happiness (which i hope you do as well).

sen loves animals and lives among them. she was rescued by a wolf god when she was young and was raised by her as their daughter. she is extremely mistrusting and distant when it comes to strangers, which you can be as well. in the movie, she fights fiercely to protect her family and the forest she lives in, and scorns the humans who try to tear it down for their own material gain. i feel like this is a lot like you because you are protective and caring to your small inner circle and do not tolerate any disturbances. you are ultimately very loving when it comes down to it and express your love by fighting, even at your own expense, for your loved ones. you also love animals a lot, much like sen does, and probably prefer animals to humans as well.
you are sweet, kind, and incredibly endearing. mei is extremely likable, so likable that she is allowed to meet and befriend totoro, a whimsical guardian of a forest who takes her and her sister on an adventure. you, like mei, are friendly and excitable, and you care very, very much about your family and friends. mei is fearless and trusting, as seen when she followed the mini-totoro's about into the forest despite any repercussions. i find that this is similar to you because you do not cast judgments on people at a glance. you are very welcoming and kind to others and you are always willing to strike up a conversation with anyone.

setsu is an aunt of anna's adoptive mother who houses anna. she's very loud, sociable, and fun. she jokes around a lot and often speaks warmly of those she cares about (her family, her friends). she is not afraid to push others to the limit, and is patient even when others lash out at her.
