It will soon be the time when the UK has to decide beetween staying or leaving the EU
Plz share your thoughts on what do you think will the uk will vote
"there's no worried that the pound will lose buying power, it's a simple fact. leaving europe will cause a crash in britain, or europe is f*****g r******d (which it's not)
ur about refugees is just , and ur going to turn britain into a ghetto for it. if u want to fight for something, fight for a payment for their upkeep" (veryniceboy, 2016)
nah veryniceboy sends this diss straight 2 u yoyo:
"you're dumb bro. it's a separate currency at face and no more. it pays into the euro. it's a part of the euro's buying power. a currency gains strength by retaining that which it produces, being with reference to greater and greater material assets. the pound literally hands its wealth over to europe by being in the eu. at best it is a subsidiary currency to the euro
the euro is the buying power of the whole of europe. it's never going to be lesser than the pound. nobody's going to buy pounds at high price when there's nothing to buy with them"
veryniceboy is sending me pms about this. is he banned from the forums? he told me that this will "literally turn britain into a ghetto leaving europe" and then said that his definition of ghetto was "a ghetto is a place devoid of wealth, as i am using the term. it does indeed have further connotations, but let's see where starvation takes britain"
PS. The pound does not 'pay into' the euro at all; that's nonsensical and shows a fundamental lack of understanding of what a currency is. You can peg a currency to another currency - but Britain hasn't done that since the 1990s when it was indeed pegged to other European (pre-euro) currencies... before crashing out spectacularly under John Major because the system didn't work at all. Good thing, too. If it hadn't been for that we'd probably have joined the euro and been devoured by the debt crisis and total stagnation and creeping deflation that eurozone countries are mired in nowadays.
The euro can't crush the pound because the euro is almost entirely riding off of Germany now and has massive great lead anchors like Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, Italy, and Spain pulling it down.
Well, I am gonna get shitstormed for saying this but I actually think it is alright if we are saving lives... They can't help that there is a war going on over there
if you're worried about your money losing its value just invest in yen and trade it back to gbp in 6 months

the eu is more uncertain now than it has ever been, aladrew. staying and leaving will both result in change
Yes but we are staying relatively the same, That is why the word relatively was there, We might have to change a couple things but I myself do not want to leave. Scotland is one of the main pro-EU places, I heard that you do leave the EU we get another vote to go independent and this time I would be thinking of a yes vote
"my thinking on this topic starts right now, but here it is.
cutting from europe means competing with europe. the pound at present isn’t a separate currency, it’s accounted for in the euro, it’s paying into the euro.
but if britain splits, the pound is no longer paying into the euro. the euro therefore has no reason not to crush the pound, in fact it will be only sensible that it does, because that’s europe retaining its wealth, just like britain is trying to now. sanctions will be imposed, the buying power of the pound will plummet. that’s a crash right there.
then maybe britain’s a wealthy country, maybe it works, it can pick up the pieces, it splits from the eu, kicks out the non-nationals, and in so doing retains its wealth, survives through a crash and comes out with greater productivity in its wealth not being thrown to the wind that is the migrant influx. but I mean you’re talking about competing with europe here still. what, britain fixes its trade, gets in with america, china, russia? but the euro’s going to have the power to subsidy its industry and undercut the pound, and again it’s only sensible that it does. britain leaving the eu is literally to declare monetary war on the eu
i mean I think britain leaving would be fancying itself a little too much here. also we're all gonna die lol"
do you think that tradition is the best thing to base policy on? what about logic or reason?
A lot of people in our country really seem to lack any sort of sympathy at all, I think there are many logical reasons to take in more migrants, more specifically refugees as any of us could have easily been born into a worse situation.
