Excluding first victim from win/los

pir1407over 10 years ago

I know title isnt much explanatory, here is what I am trying to say, in games that start with night, when a townie dies at first night as a first victim, he has zero affect on game, either win or lose. Basically he has no impact who will win or lose whole game. Do you think it will be more accurate for that player if you dont count those games for the first night victim.

Poll
If game starts with night, and as a townie you are the first victim, you have no impact for the whole game played yet you receive win or lose, will it be accurate not the count those games?

You, the person still has a hidden impact over the peoples actions based on several factors, which would influence others actions on or against you (cop check, doc as e, mafia kill ect)

It's really late do I ain't gonna go in too deep but just trust me you're wrong, shrub
are you talking about meta stuff? do you really deserve points for getting n1ed by someone who always n1s you and then the town lynches them? equally do you deserve to lose as mafia because you were cop checked by someone who always cop checks you?

It'd increase corruption in comp games if it was introduced. Imagine manipulating points by N1'ing someone.

Hello.

The main issue with this suggestion is that the first person to die majorly impacts the game.

That particular "victim's" role is gone from the game, and if anyone else's role were to be gone, the game situation would be different.

Everyone's death affects the game differently, so, ideally, the game outcome should be included into their statistics as well.

Thank you for your suggestion though!
Bad post.

A person and their in-game role are different. You have no control over what role you get therefore your role dying has nothing to do with you dying night one.
Actually your post is the bad one u idiot lol

mr chilledout has expressed two reasons y being n1d should affect one's pie and comperino points:

1- being n1d affects the game. this is true but seems irrelephant cuz the primary argument is that when one is n1d, their actions had no influence on the game, so they shouldn't be credited with the game's result

2- ppl might n1 runners and make them sad. there is a strong culture against n1ing runners as it is: if u want to make a runner lose/salty, n1ing them a lot is still a good way to go, except ull porbly end up metafosed and lunched in a good table, which helps the runner anyway. making n1s not count might actually make n1 culture healthier, and runners will be less salty that nob town lost game after they were fearkilled.

u say the cons outweigh the pros on this one, so could u provide some more pros that r coherent and preferably relephant ;)

I'd imagine this would do numbers to people who are running too. How long do you think it would take people to complete the end of the round in first place if they're continually N1'ed by people who don't want them to win?

There are many reasons why this should not be implemented.

The cons simply outnumber the pros in this one.

Trust me, it's been debated before and I've been on both sides. It's for the best that N1 deaths be included on your pie charts.

Count them and have a separate stat for night one deaths so people feel good about themselves for it

Because revealing has no impact on the game right ?
deleteddeletedabout 10 years ago
yeah this has been raised before but i can't be done for a variety of reasons. the solution is to play more dawnstart/daystart setups.
