So I'm walking to class through my university's library parking lot, and I spot a brand new Iphone 6s sticking up from behind the wheel of a car. My guess is this person broke up with their lover and said lover tried to destroy the iPhone, but I saved the thing. So of course I'm posting on my uni's facebook lost and found page and asking around trying to find the rightful owner, because I'm not a douche.

But my question is, how long am I morally obligated to hold onto this thing before I sell it?

I care.

U don't have to wait. Who cares, have a posting for it up already

I'll wait the full two weeks and do everything I can think of to return the thing, but after that I'm making some dinero because I'm a capitalist at heart.

i mean, 2 weeks is probably fine, but i don't share the desire to make a quick easy buck like most people

i would do a better job of finding the owner

Just have a wank.

I'd give it two weeks.
over 8 years
a week at most, iphone owners either do everything in their power to get it back or just get a new one

thats normal if you're a rational human being

There is a selfish part of me that is really hoping no one is going to claim this thing

my dad found a rolex in the local park last year and waited about 2 weeks

2 weeks is probably fine, most would give up searching after that point
