If gardenfulloflies wanted to enforce the GRS rule in unranked sandbox games, would the mods enforce it? If gardenfulloflies wanted to enforce the GT rule in unranked sandbox games, would the mods enforce it? If gardenfulloflies wanted to enforce the ISP rule in unranked sandbox games, would the mods enforce it?
The mods are giving themselves more work for no reason by enforcing the spamming rule in unranked sandbox games. They do not have to listen to gardenfulloflies. If gardenfulloflies wants the spamming rule to be enforced then he should have to come up with a team of sandbox mods, instead of wasting the time of site-wide mods.
AFAIK Sandbox is a custom lobby and so site-wide mods don't have to moderate it for game related vios.

Spamming for comedic effect, dumb memes, not having to try too hard, casually chatting in the middle of games, off-color jokes; I always thought these things were what made Sandbox a relaxed fun place to hang out and play games.
Spamming isn't black or white. Sometimes it's innocent, sometimes it's just being disruptive and mean-spirited. The latter doesn't happen so often to warrant a crackdown on spam.
Supporting vios for simple spam just seems like calling in the fun police.
sandbox games are already not serious by virtue of existing within this lobby!!! spamming is something that happens in circlejerks and unless it's scripted or being used to harass specific users, it's entirely harmless in this lobby.
in any case, spamming, which is a game related violation, should not be vioable outside of main. if the sandbox owner wants to use their discretion in banning people if they have spammed excessively, that's their choice. but there needs to be more than 1 sandbox mod in order to implement this \-:
I personally think spamming is dumb as hell. However, I think it's kind of a huge deal to outrule something that threatens the very basis of what Sandbox was supposed to be about -- unranked games in which you can pull all the stupid crap you can't on ranked games or in Training/Comp/Main.
The justification was that it disrupts games, but there's so many more things that disrupt Sandbox games that just singling out spamming because the mods/garden felt like it is really arbitrary and ultimately ridiculous in my eyes.
