Hey all. I'm of the mind that the term "alternative" is a bit dumb but at the same time you usually know what genre I am talking about if I say I like alt rock.

Any bands/artists that you're all into and can suggest?

I'm really into Elliott Smith, Sparklehorse, Nirvana, Eels, Wilco, Pixies, etc. etc.

pixies isn't really alt rock but anyway i would suggest you try listening to the smashing pumpkins if you haven't already

Not saying any of the artists I listed were specifically alt rock. Just wanted to preface it by telling everyone my favorites. I'll check that out though, thanks.

Also, try out Worrytrain. It's not alt rock, but it's very alternative.
