So is this seriously a common theme that Democrats think their party is any different than the Republicans? Sorry to open the curtains but the Democrats have tried, and are trying to control all aspects of the government and have done it in the past. And it's funny that someone who supports a government that controls everything is saying that Republicans are the ones dismantling democracy. Is this just trolling?
and what's more, anyone who knowingly supports a party that is dedicated to dismantling democracy from its very foundations, with the intent to establish continuous ownership over the means of policymaking, is as close to being an enemy of the state as a domestic citizen can be without committing a conscious act of treason.
yes, im calling you republicans traitors.

I know another strong republican who knew that the media was the way to reach voters, and his name was Joseph McCarthy . You communist.
Abortion is not on the list of most important issues. Foreign policy and the economy are 100 times more important so I don't care if he is super strict about that. The Supreme Court will continue to strike down anti-abortion laws. If social issues are what influence you most and not issues that detriment the future of our country, then maybe it says more about you.
i think i speak on behalf of anyone who lived through the george w bush jr. presidency that a party which has dedicated itself to karl rove's mission of permanent control of the congress, supreme court, and executive branch, is a party that is dedicated to inflicting harm upon the well-being of our nation
really, fam? maybe we're just tired of the decades of harassment that FOX news and other republican media networks have syndicated as virtual reality for their brainwashed viewerbase?

Orly you sound like you live in California. Do you live in California?

Self-awareness is important, Rutab.

No its not hard to argue with stupidity because in then end no one is gonna change their mind arguing with different people who grew up in different places and different scenarios and find the best late-night entertainment mindlessly playing goddamn mafia or lurking forums for no reason
actually, people do change their minds - all the time. it's called being liberal. we adapt and change our viewpoints based on the facts and evidence presented to us.
you wouldnt know what that's like, though, i guess.
Honestly from what i see, is that liberals are almost always the first to throw insults despite their self righteousness they try to impose
i live in florida. you know, where rubio and jeb bush have "helped" our great state, from not attending to congressional sessions to implementing FCAT and other terrible educational practices.

im saying you're uninformed and unwilling to change your views, and that you're effectively making yourself stupid by being unwilling to adapt to obvious realities. is that so hard to grasp?

Sonseray proved me wrong. I guess there's hope, after all.

See what is it worth to me arguing seriously with a guy who has a bad meme avatar calling me stupid every post

Global warming is a fact. Triatmoic molecules reflect heat. CO2 is a triatmoic molecule. Burning fossil fuels (which we do constantly) emits CO2 into the atmosphere. That CO2 reflects back heat. What part don't you get? Core concept?
there's really no proof of MAN MADE global warming.
so hamstringing american companies while the rest of the world powers through doesnt really seem like a great idea to me
There is proof of man made global warming actually. Literal decades of studies. You'd know this if you'd gone to college and taken literally any science course, but instead your most tangible ambition is assistant manager of the Wendy's you work at, and as a result you envy and yearn for the days where racism was a celebrated cultural value and you could be successful even if you were stupid as long as you were white.
I know this about you because you support Donald Trump, and people who support Donald Trump are invariably one of two kinds:
A. People who are both educated enough to understand exactly what his policies entail and rich enough to benefit from them, who vote for him in order to advance themselves.
B. People like you, who are uneducated enough to fall for his rhetoric and demagoguery, and stupid enough to vote against your own interests because his wife makes your pee pee hard.
pretty spot on actually, I cant really say anything in response.
but back on topic, I cant believe bernie won michigan. fuuuuarrrk
I got Germatron to admit that he's a burger flipping closet racist, so that's something.

For all you know someone could be playing the Devils Advocate and arguing with you just to see you argue and get mad over different opinions
I love arguing and debating but yall take it to some weird levels

it's hard to argue with stupidity.
THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING. It's exhausting. With this being my third presidential election I've been able to vote in, you'd think I'd just learn my lesson by now and accept the fact that literally zero of these discussions end with "Actually good point. I'll change from now on." and that they're pointless (like everything else in life), but nah.
Maybe I'm the idiot, after all.

college tuition prices have not gone up solely because of federal loans. a lot of it has to do with the free market economics the republicans tout as the miracle of america
ironic, considering the vast majority of *domestic* economic prosperity and growth in the modern US occurred when the most regulations were implemented and subsequently reinforced during wartime / baby boomer phases

"College is a privilege, not a right" seems conceptually similar to that whole "Give the factory workers 9 bottles of wine a day as part of their pay, and they'll be too drunk to understand that we are ripping them off" thing that the American aristocracy already pulled for a while.
