i've seen almost everyone react the same way if they are town and get pushed on by someone because in your head if you just did something so in towns favor, its ridiculous to be scumread
if a town pushes on godfather and lynches them successfully and the next day they are fosed, i think its perfectly natural and have MOSTLY seen this reaction where they say something like "DO YOU REALLY THINK IM MAFIA AND BUSSED MY GODFATHER?"
When people start telling you why they arent mafia and referring entirely to their oen play they are scum. Scum are conscious of their own play, they did those things specifically to seem townie. Town arent as conscious in their play.

"Why aren't you mafia" is one of the least constructive questions you can possibly ask when trying to scumhunt
People are more drawn to you when you use positives as opposed to negatives. Think about it, would you rather be the only non-brown eyed person in the world, or the only blue eyed person in the world? (Bad analogy, but you get the point)
neither are particularly effective, but the former is almost useless

Saying their name first is very polite and speaks columes to nice people. Saying "I know" is assertive and claims you don't think but KNOW. Saying "because" shows you have reasons to your reasoning of absolutely knowing! Saying mind games is effective because only Mafia wants to trick town

My personal favourite that I use: X, I know you're a Mafia because of using mind games

the former results in a lot of wifom and a lot of meta abuse, so i agree the latter is much more effective

i don't really use either since it's much better to look for someone unconsciously answering the former than actively taking time to construct an argument for either
