Hello everyone! EM Idol is back yet again! (ooooooh, ahhhh)

SEASON 5 IS OVER

EpicMafia Idol 5 Final Results:

Well it has finally ended, the results are in and we have determined the winner of EpicMafia Idol 5!! I would like to thank all the partcipants and on-lookers of the competition, I hope you all enjoyed the experience and gained something from it. I would of course like to thank the judges who have been awesome enough to pick up after me even as I slacked this season and for noticing all the little mistakes I leave behind each round (looking at you Malkon).

This will indeed be the final EMI hosted by me and also the last being judged by some of the veteran judges, notably Kam who has stuck with me as the judge the longest and would like to thank her for her service and putting up with me all this time. This will indeed be taken over by new management.

Now without a further ado, the results:

Congratulations to Reamix!!! From finishing fourth last season to making it all the way to first, it's been a pleasure having you compete and our honour to award you with this trophy (as seen in the doc)

ROUND FORMAT

If this is your first time participating/following EMI, please read the rules provided in the "links" section and want to know how the season and the rounds will go, here is the basic info you need to know

After the audition round is over, the first round of EMI will start with a theme the judges have chosen. Themes after round 1 will then de determined by the round winners. Round winners are those that get the highest score of the round.

Each round people will submit their entries that follow the current theme, once all submissions have been obtained and judged (Judges are usually given about 2 days to judge), the results will be released in a Google spreadsheet (the link will be provided below when it is ready). Once that happens, the round winner will pick the theme, and the new round will start. Please keep checking back here to know the theme/start of next round.

After a few days after the results are posted, the access to the results will be made private so the judges can start editing it again and judge entries submitted. If you are a contestant and missed your comments, PM me and I'll c/p them to you

This is late but congratulations to steph/reamix for winning emi5 and getting that trophy :3. Thank you to the judges who spent their time to judge and give feedback as well as answering our questions. The competition was fun. It was great to have compete against such good singers and im happy to have made it to the finals

thank you all so much! it's been so fun to participate in this and im stunned i made it this far. everyone on both sides of this has been so talented and encouraging and kind, and i've loved getting to be a part of it. i'm super proud of steph ofc and of all of you :*

Ahh omg THANK YOU!! This was really a surprise as I was stressing out about this song choice so much, but I guess it paid off. Ty to the judges for the wonderful advice and to the other contestants for being soo good! Kam, you've been so wonderful this whole time, so I am sad to see you go.

Also Jhube thanks babe I listened to your recording yesterday on soundcloud and wanted to rip my heart out and cry for 6 yrs it was amazing.

Congratulations to all my fellow contestants and especially to STEPH AKA REAMIX. I'm not surprised she took the crown this season because she is totally deserving of it. Thank you to all the judges and hosts and especially Kam who is leaving after this season. You guys sacrificed a lot of your time behind the scenes and your work will not go unappreciated.

Can't believe this is my second season of judging. Just wanted to tell you all how proud I am of all the talent that is on EMI. You all continue to surprise and impress me :) Congrats to everyone, especially the finalists.

I'm so proud of all of you especially those that made it to the final round. it's been an amazing experience hearing all of your voices. Big thank you to my fellow judges for being committed from day 1. I know how much time it takes to work on this. I just want to say this has been a group effort on both sides and this has turned out to be an amazing thing. Tons of talent and good people. Lots of PLUR all around. Also a big congrats to all our winners <3

And with that I have judged my final EMI competition. Results should be up within the next day or two. Thank you to everyone who supported me all the way back in Season 1 as a contestant and who have trusted and listened to my critiques for the past 3 seasons. It was really nice to have a place filled with likeminded souls who love singing as much as me :) I'll be around, I won't disappear completely! Season 1 didn't have a theme for finals either I picked my own song, which turned out to be a mistake since I lost by 3 votes :( lol

The past 4 competitions (so every comp) traditionally there has been no theme. We can't promise it'll be this way forever...but yeah since season 1, there has been no theme in the finale.
