Hey, so this seems to be a bit of a polarizing topic right now. We want to make sure Sandbox is a lively community where people are satisfied with the lobby and can enjoy themselves fully. This being a big part of sandbox, we want to know what everyone thinks. Sooo let's open this up. If you have suggestions for the next poll about the lobby, post below.
Ranked games?

Ranked in Sandbox isn't smart, not because blablabla sandbox is for "relaxed" play but more so because most people who play in Sandbox don't know ranked setups. I guarantee if I were to start a game of VDLI in here nobody would know how to play it.
I personally would love a Sandbox competition, but I fear it'd be a very tight competition with strict rules since Sandbox isn't considered a private lobby.
tbh if people want to stroke their ego by getting points they should go to main lobby.instead. Each lobby offers different things and sandbox was popular because of it's 12P closed set-up.The people wanting changes are tbh only thinking about the good things which are yay I can be more egoistical because I have more points than you in sandbox!
Moon if you would like that possibility than you are obviously welcome to go to lucid with it! I think it is a good idea as well. For sandbox only most likely though. Sl0nder is only saying that it currently is an unavailable feature on the site, not that it can never happen.
The imagination is not limited by what the site currently does and not does not allow, sl0nderman. You know this!
If you are convinced that the only changes ever made to the site will be superficial changes (the fluid 'ownership' of sandbox, lobby polls, etc.) then I officially invite you over to the more exciting camp.
Honestly defeats the whole purpose of sandbox lobby. Ranked games go in main. Sandbox is where people go to troll, suicide, have fun, and just generally not give a shít.

don't worry guys. any more harshness from peach and i'll just have to report her for mod abuse. i don't like to do this, but she's pushing me over the line
Am I really the only one who really wants to see what would happen if we opened up 12 player random setups to the element of competition?
Everyone seems so bent on preserving the Sandbox / Main dichotomy, which is one of the most poisonous aspects of the site in my opinion. It results in being reported for not playing by the textbook in main, and it results in a '>trying' mentality in sandbox.
Some may argue that sandbox was meant to be free from competition, but does that really mean we have to keep all emergent sandbox elements separate from competition?
I hope we can break out of the straight-jacket soon. There are a lot of cool things that could happen.
