Ted talks have gone really down hill
Cheating is bad, if you're polyamororous you should just tell your SO before you get into the relationship
Cheating is obviously bad but a lot of people cheat nowadays. Now the question is why did they cheat in the first place? It's not simply about wrong or right.

Also in a way it sort of is about right and wrong and not about why did they cheat. If they aren't being sated in some way it's their job to tell their SO or leave the relationship. If they cheat and act like the other person is to blame or anyone but themselves for making that decision they're being manipulative.
damn this is a good video, many people make an affair about themselves, she shows it is not always because something is missing in the relationship BUT something missing in the person.

Yes it actually is, since they could just break up before actually commiting the act, insted of being selfish and do it afterwards since they want to have the cake and eat it aswell

I watched the video and still am finishing it - she's well spoken but I wouldn't say she's revolutionary in her thoughts or arguments.
At around 5-7 minutes I think she said something along the lines of "people in the old days had affairs to find love, now they break love" or something to that effect which sounded absurd and like she's just trying to sell the fact that she's learned in the history of relationships.
I don't think many people are under some misconception that cheating happens because of a single sole reason or that every instance of cheating not has similarities. Why do they happen? Idk, maybe the dude is a total jerk and was horny, maybe the woman tripped and fell on his love rod, maybe he got bored and decided to make love to the mail lady. Who knows
What I think the main takeaway here - despite not being in her words - is that relationships are about trust and that you don't need to physically duck someone else to screw your partner, people should learn to handle their insecurities with their partner and establish boundaries and such
