I wouldn't say Trump is unelectable, people also thought his poll numbers were an anomaly and would drop back down. Assumptions about the man haven't exactly been paying off.
republican primary base is wildly different from the general electorate (shocking!)
I think Trump has more silent voters too than anyone
and that's in addition to his already loud supporters

I see a lot of people making comparisons between Trump and Hitler and I feel that's a losing proposition for the people making him out to be Hitler cuz Hitler was something of a winner politically.
I'd say Trump is much more like Henry Ford when he ran in the 1920s, 1925? 24? i forget. but I wrote a paper in high school about henry ford and also growing up around that area I learned quite a bit.

hes been leading in the primary polls for months now, but it does feel alarmist since hes utterly unelectable in a general election

"American Party Endorses Donald Trump for President"
How can Trump lose, he keeps getting all these endorsements.

The only progression we'll see under Trump is the movie "The Purge" in real life.
that feel when bernie sanders is just a band aid name to make people feel good about themselves wrt to social change with minimal social activism actually being done by them
i mean, i'm not supporting him because of that alone. he's consistent on every single one of his views, which speaks volumes compared to these other people. it's not like congress (republican-majority) would let him do most of what he wants to do, but at least he's not divisive like every single republican.
