I am in the mood of giving and want to have a Santa themed Round 374 since it falls on the week of presents and all things amazing.
The setup must be deemed balanced after 50-100 plays. Historically,
it would be 200 plays, but we don't have the time.
1 entry per account, NO ALTS
A moderator or admin can deem your setup unplayable for comp and not let it be tested. It is what it is, fam.
Depending on when the current round ends, moderator staff will remove setups that have not been played or are testing poorly.
You have permission to post links to ranked setups in the current Round thread so long as it is not spamming.
You can ask any moderator to make your setup ranked so the testing may begin.
Please post your links to your setups IN THIS THREAD with a blurb about why you think it is balanced and fit for comp. If you do not post it in this thread, it will not be recognized as a valid entry.
DOs
MUST include Santa and have 7-10 players
MUST include a Strategy for town and mafia with your setup
Play your setup unranked before you contact a moderator to have it ranked.
Promote your setup as you wish in order to get the plays in to test the setup. I encourage posting to the Main Lobby wall or contacting a moderator to have it promoted as a Featured Setup.
DON'Ts
Include any 3rd party roles
Utilize roles or role combinations that can be deemed gamebreaking
Waste our time and post setups that you know are not balanced
Prizes
1st: Santa setup will be comped, 20 tokens, custom Main Lobby emote
2nd: 10 tokens, custom Main Lobby emote
3rd: A sticker of your choice
Disclaimer: Jeff and I have to approve your custom emote when you win. Sorry.
EM, Where stepping down as mod, does not mean you are a chicken who can't take the heat, but a really pro player who should be moded back as soon as possible.
then banned someone with no evidence, then stepped down, then were reappointed, then voted in a new admin, then stepped down, then got banned, then were made a mod again.

you won gerry congratulations gerry you won a christmas
No one won this. Mods didnt even took their time to look through the setups and get a winner. Rather they comped the first 2 setups they were given, and forgot the rest.
Waaait, when santa checks lawyered maf they look inno, but when he checks miller or Godfather they are inno and maf corespondingly? This is stupid mechanic
It kinda plays like Jan 2.0 but with Santa. All the pr claims aren't concrete and can be cced by the respective mafia. It allows for unique and intriguing strategy as it is hard to deduce clears or mafia. Everyone is involved in trying to find others to rely on and prs can either claim, cc or hide which leads to a lot of fun.
Possible changes to balance in case it is tipped in favour of town or maf (any combination can be implemented) : Tracker -> Watcher Scout -> Stalker Janitor -> Paparazzi Blue -> Sleepwalker (another one) Dreamer -> Caroler
Please give this a chance! I think you'll have a lot of fun :D!
Okay "CHRISTMAS MOURNING II : Revenge of the Voodoo" has been released! Now with a handy dandy sexy Doctor role! This is my official setup for this competition, please ignore the first version which apparently was too maf-sided. Please play this and rank it!

yeah, it's considered GT because you're forcing mafia to go into auto loss
he meant would it be GTing for mafia, i believe
anyway i wouldn't give that a vio since it's essentially an autoloss situation and town has no reason to force it on mafia

I like these santa setups most of them are awesome.
Btw is it GT as maf if they're left 4way with bomb, crystalled clear and their cc, NKing on meteor? Consider the case when mafia doesn't know if the clear has crystal.
Righto so this is my setup, Santa's Helpers. I made it since there are too many common roles in the main lobby in my opinion... town has the oracle and the miller that show up frequently while for the maf you're likely to often see the hooker or the GF. This has got a few roles you rarely ever see - you have the lazy cop for town as well as the interceptor and the fabricator for maf.
The beauty of this setup is how the watcher and the interceptor (roles that are very important for their respective sides) play off each other and how the watcher can do watcher things without the risk of interception. Lazy cop is there in place of regular cop to avoid a chance of two people both getting a separate guilty report D1.
This setup is very good as it allows for the play of some alternative and more than that fun roles on both sides that don't often get the opportunity to be played. In addition to this it provides many opportunities for both sides to win, even when you get your lazy cop N1'd.
However what it does need is playtesting so I'd be thankful if you guys would start a few games of it and play around yourselves.
