Currently, a bunch of accounts are compromised due to hidden linking. I'm making this topic to make a reference on who all got compromised. If you're viewing this topic and your account was compromised, then the best thing I'd recommend is to just make a new account for now.
The thing is, Lucid is the only one that has to temporary disable the PM function and if he bothers to show up I'd rather have him fix security in a more impactful way.

OR people could stop opening pm's from unknown sources.

It's actually been talked about in the forums regularly, the announcement section, and the lobby wall. Furthermore, it has been heavily discussed in chat and word of mouth. There isn't really much more we can do right now, other than make a, 'A moderator will not ask for your personal details. etc' kinda post, and the problem with that is that it will most likely never be seen by its target audience, unless it were to occlude some of the interface.

back in the day I paid for the pm service

or actually just delete the pm feature all together and only use it for reports, its kind of a useless function anyway
I've been using the PM feature for 3 years.
Theres literally like 5 million other ways to contact a friend, just disable it till this is resolved.

1) stop being stupid.
2) this round will likely be reset refunds are pointless you cant play the hearts
I don't blame mods either. Maybe you can however make ppl a bit more aware by putting up a clearly visible banner in main lobby and opening a thread explaining the problem and giving people advice on how to keep their accounts safe. That would be kinda nice.
It would also be nice to not close reports without requesting the refund, but that's beside the point.

And he will just admin someone else. Like he has in the past

quite frankly, it IS up to the user to keep their account safe and not buy into this garbage. all you had to do was click the account who sent the PM and check their profile out to know they're fake. lucid and the mod team shouldn't be blamed, it's the user's fault, and also some credit has to be given to the hacker for this simple yet creative scheme. suck my taint
Quite frankly, no one's blaming the mod team or the user. It's neither's fault that there are hackers going around with nothing better to do with their lives then to wreak havoc on a website. It's pretty sad in itself.
I think we passed the 'pretty sad' checkpoint a good while ago by now. I'm sure his mother is very proud of him though.
Surely we can make a lobby where the hacker can farm a trophy? It's the least he deserves for his effort ;)

You might as well try to solve THAT problem first
Do you honestly think there's anything we can actually do about any of this other than contact lucid? Everything that happens in this fiasco is reliant on his response time.
Isn't there some kind of a "managerial team" or some people that are allowed to program or at least help lucid solving the bugs.. I mean there has to be someone who helps him from time to time

Febiven, TyroneF.
It's up to you as a user to keep your account safe, aka, don't give your password to other users and be careful who you add on skype and such. It's on the administrator though to create a save site. And a site were accounts are so easily compromised are not safe.
Lucid doesn't seem to care though, maybe we should all just quit the site. Like a mass-quit.
All the mods and the admin should go on strike and remove each other until lucid fixes this tbh. They do it for free and they get the backlash of this

Let's all re-write the code and create our own java mafia website

Oh Snapchat and VILDEN? WOW! I don't believe they were so dumb to click these links... is there another way where ABC gets into compromised accounts beside through hidden links and alts?
TGenji also compromised together with acohen49. Is Dreamquakes still compromised?
Anyway I'm surprised because my main has also got the message with hidden link although it's banned from Main Lobby and playing just on Sandbox.

I don't wanna be rude or something, but half of those people listed, at least MOST of them genuinely thought that people messaging them was a moderator. You might as well try to solve THAT problem first, if an account looked the same and if clicked on it linked to the mod account they would have easily fallen for that although it's really stupid to believe that something you do OUTSIDE THE SITE would have an effect ON the site (proving they're not account sharing by giving their cookies)
