@Anthony - yeah I like the tele price, but I'm not sure if it's the right guitar. I've gotta play one to see.
Gibson les paul if it's not too expensive, otherwise fender telecasters are pretty good prices. My dad has the latter
Already have an acoustic I like and my dad has a prime one that I also like lots.
it's just a lot of money to spend at once.
Have a wank into an empty packet of crisps whilst you're at it.
Dan, get a Paul Stanley model. Would totally suit you.
i have a fender acoustic/electric that i like, but i want to shred and riff on some crunchy grooves.
yeah stan my cousin has an sg, but i don't think it suits my style.
are you looking at steelstring, electric, or acoustic?
acoustic you should go for a yamaha
electric idgaf
my dad plays a les paul and my uncle plays an SG
not sure on prices but theyre both pretty good, i don't play guitar so i don't know specifics but there u go, 2nd hand experience
Hoping to make my way to guitar center aka showroom to play a bunch of guitars and get a feel.
what kinds of gibsons should I look I? I know virtually nothing about them.
I would consider a semi-hollow les paul.
I'm also starting to lean towards a Fender Jaguar.
Gibsons are the way to go, man
Yeah bronts, get the Roland RD800.
Great guitar.
Everyone and their mom has a strat. Go with Gibson
There's one in Times Square but I hate going there. There are some independent shops around I could check out to get a feel
oooh, well are there any guitar centers near you where you can try them out?
Not too familiar with Ibanez, I used to play my friends I banes bass and it was super clunky I didn't care for it.
Ibanez are more in your price range then, i forget what model my cousin has, maybe RG?
What kind? I don't want to spend that much since if I move again I'd like to be able to sell it quickly
Are you looking for electric then, if so, i recommend Ibanez, or if you're feelin' like spending a bunch of money, get a gretsch white penguin
The 400 dollar range seems reasonable but I want to see if anyone has any stellar recs from brands I may not have fairly considered
I've been playing for years but I don't have access to my dad's stuff anymor since I moved out, and I want to get my own electric guitar.
I get what you're saying though but I don't think I'd let it collect too much dust
