it's probably a rule for lucid to decide, assuming he's the one that made it

It only says "report admin abuse to lucid" meaning you're the one who gets to decide if a mod is abusing.

Really this sort of thing should just be at the discretion of admins/lucid, there doesn't need to be a vio system.

At the least it's a good sentiment to put to words.

Fair enough but adding a vio system to it is kind of silly. You could just stick on the rule page to send a message to Sims or email lucid if you have a serious problem with moderator conduct.

This rule is written much better than all the others, lol. Did lucid write all of them or only this one?

"Oh no, this good mod made a good ruling! And now look, the mob are rising up! Now Lucidrains is here and he's agreeing with the grotesque mob and a good mod is getting demodded!"

^Ridiculous scenario. One mod making a bad decision and sticking to it out of pigheadness or just grudging to begin with, however, is not such a contrived scenario.

did i also mention i am 26 years old and rather than use my time to get a job or something i would rather post pathetic comments that are so profoundly unfunny that it physically hurts to read them back?

oh wait, that's not me, that's you!

The rule is literally objectively a good rule.

actually, it's a terrible rule. who decides whether a user is "favored". can you imagine reporting a moderator because they were harsh on an "unliked user" how insulting is that to the player

The rule at least proffers the question of whether modding is fair or unfair, and so is a good rule. You're right: who decides? Oh, just the mods? The rule can only call opinion, argument and justification into play. The mob aren't going to run rampant with it against good moderators.

maybe these so-called unliked players should work on aspects of their personality so as not to be insufferable specs of trash and maybe they wouldn't complain when they get slammed with a violation that could have realistically gone either way (case in point, trikamastak ladies and gentleman)

subtle mod favouritism has always existed and always will. everybody knows that nicer people get treated better. that's how it should be. as long as it's not blatant abuse, i see it as karma. be a better person :)

there's only like 20 people targeted by the lap dogs of Sims

the rest are just people that pee their pants when they shoot clear and get reported

It's just meant to keep mods from doing reports on people they personally like or dislike, which is how things are supposed to be done anyways

i'm an unliked player and i don't find that insulting
