How much does a tattoo hurt?

I really want one on the back of my neck but I'm so scared of the pain. My gf says it doesn't hurt that much but she has a high tolerance for pain so I don't trust her judgment. As someone who screams when she stubs her toe WHAT ARE THE CHANCES I'LL MAKE IT OUT ALIVE?

More or less. Like a lot of other things, if you psyche yourself into the 'it's gonna hurt' mentality then obviously it's going to. Don't get one just to get one though, that's stupid.

Yeah, well that's dumb. If I am to get a tattoo it's gonna be a part of some work of art I'm making of myself as a whole, lol. Not to be pretentious, I hope, but I rather like the idea of like working on myself like Michelangelo did on the Sistine Chapel or something. =)

Actually I was with one girl one night who had a cross tattooed like on the back of her hand in between the thumb and index and that tattoo was cute, though I guess I don't really get it. Maybe it was a reminder for when she burned herself touching something or something.

Doesn't really hurt too much, at least not when you do it on your arm, but there are some really sensitive nerves and stuff around ur neck so I dunno how much it'd hurt.

It hurts as much as if you'd take a needle and stick it in and outta ur skin. Ez.

Ankle, lower back, RIBS and clavicle are all good places for a girl to get a tattoo on imo

I don't know anyone who has a tattoo that isn't dumb, to be honest. It's all tramp stamps or dudes with daggers tattooed on their ankles or scorpions tattooed on their biceps or other dumb sh.
