infanticide is not a no-hitter bro. it tears down pretty much all of what we've always dreamed humanity to be. it's the loudest of the living pruning to their own benefit
it's a weird debate because of the morality behind ending someone's life. I do think it's silly to prop people up when they can't even enjoy being alive.
Ahh, well, these days Gramps doesn't even recognize my face when I pay him a visit and he couldn't string together a coherent sentence to save his dwindling life, but I'd better pay these nurses to monitor his pulse and clean up after him each time he excretes all over the hospital bed instead of saving a few hundred 12-year-olds from a disease that has already been cured. And don't even get me started on babies - I'd take these barely alive blobs of humanity over a real thinking self-sufficient person any day.
My grandfather died of Alzheimer's after it stripped him of his personhood over the course of a decade. I'd rather he'd died a few years earlier and redirected all those medical bills to people who are dying of malaria and lol if you don't agree.
Well no, literally every major school of moral philosophy would say you shouldn't. But if you are asking whether someone at an advanced stage of Alzheimer's disease is a person then I'd say that is a pretty good and interesting question worthy of our meditation, and it's a shame you don't agree!

i default to not killing babies, peta. i hardly think that's so unique
anyway, the argument is kinda nuts. babies don't know they're human beings with lives ahead of them, so we're stealing nothing from them in killing them.
if peter singer gets alzheimer's am i then entitled to rob him?
