I called you a pretentious idiot because of your reaction to me being butthurt. You were playing with a bunch of the sites best and claiming you were better than them.
Of course, neither gira nor I brought our A game that game, but that's not really the point here. Yeah, you played better than both of us that game. I'm not deluded enough to deny that for more than a minute. Leb voting me for invalid reasons obfuscated the fact that your reasons were more legitimate.
However, I'm kinda peeved you're acting like I didn't admit I was wrong when I did during end game.

I won't respond to any others, but next time instead of taking to the forums to harass someone because they retaliated when you insulted them, just take the loss and move on if you're oh-so superior.

You still don't know my reasoning for thinking you were mafia, it may or may not have had anything to do with Day 1, you're still making excuses for yourself and trying to downplay it because you were embarrassed. I don't believe you forgot you were mafia Day 1, either, but even if you did, your mid to late Day 1 was the last reason I lynched you.
As for the game before that, I said two lines before getting shot because I was still in the process of gathering reads. Big measure of skill. You're still trying to downplay my skill and the fact that you lost instead of just admitting that you didn't play as well as you thought and it's embarrassing (And by the way, you lost that game too, so it's not just on me)
I'm not humiliated at all, it's me paying my respects to my friend, because he's a great player and is really fun to play with, and I enjoy our games a lot. I said it out of anger, because you refused to admit you just got outplayed, and insisted that it must have been a fluke and that I was a bad player. The irony of the "You're a pretentious idiot" comment is that it's the opposite, I care about winning and tried my best, and got angry when you discounted that because I wasn't one of your friends. When I realized I went too far, I moved to correct it, because anime is my friend. What's pretentious is pretending you didn't get outplayed and staunchly defending your bad assumptions and refusing to acknowledge that anyone that isn't your friend can outplay you in a game, insulting their intelligence and trying (unsuccessfully) to shame them on the forums.
I'm not ashamed at all of my statement. I said it in the heat of the moment, and that game I played monumentally better than anime, even if that's not the case in most of our games. You refused to acknowledge it which is why I challenged you.
We're already past the stage where I admitted I was just incredibly mad my play didn't work out.
FTR, I forgot I was mafia half way through day 1 and was genuinely trying to catch mafia. So yeah, your reasons for scumreading me on that day were incorrect. The next day I was definitely being opportunistic though and wound up getting called out.
Also, I played with you in literally the last game before that. You got shot and town lost. RIP.
Oh man how being publicly humiliated can turn someone around.

Yeah, I got mad because you assumed I was worse than anime even though I clearly played a lot better that game. You've never even seen me play before that game, and I called both you and your partner out, and your first instinct was to claim that I won for all the wrong reasons, that it wasn't legitimate, that you and anime are miles better than me, etc.. Just because I don't have two gold trophies doesn't mean you should make a bunch of assumptions, especially when the limited evidence at hand (One game) proves it wrong.
I said it in anger, I do think anime is better than me and our record together proves this. He's my friend though, and I want to be better than him one day. But people like you and Tarantino are what make this game unfun, because you can't stand losing, and go into complete denial over why.
I don't actually believe that, I've played with anime a lot and think he's really good, but the idea that he's infallible is dumb, because I've seen him be wrong a lot where I've been right, and I've been wrong a lot of times when he was right.
I think right now he's still better than me, because he's beaten me a lot more than I've beaten him, but that doesn't mean his way to play is the only one, or that I won't some day catch up to him. I play to win, and try really hard to be the best, and whenever someone insults me when they lose to me just because I'm not part of some old boys club, it makes me angry.
