Okay, while I think that Slow shouldn't have reacted the way he did, I would like to defend him a little bit. He has said in the moderator chat that things have spiraled severely downhill for him in real life, yet he still took time out of his busy and hectic life to help this community. Making pastebins takes hours and lots of dedication and Slow had that. In my opinion, the pastebin he made had convincing evidence even though it was most likely just a bit of meta abuse. I do think it wasn't smart of him to automatically ban him without receiving defense. However I'm downright disgusted at the way that some of you treated him, and other moderators involved with this whole fiasco. We are not perfect, we are prone to make mistakes. Anyways, Slow took hours out of his life to help our community, and in the end received disapproval and downright harassment from you all. In my opinion it would be hard to react well to all the hate he got when in reality he was doing a good deed.
I'll be reading gerryoat1's defense today, other mods might do it later.
I will not comment on Idioteque. All I will say is that it was good having you on our team and I'm sorry that this ended up the way it did.
For the record, I wasn't here on most of Friday or Saturday to see any of this (I was out for most of both days). I read the pastebin recently but didn't read any of the games, I had no time and still don't have the time for that right now.
I don't think it's great for me to read a defense without reading the games in question and not having contributed at all to the pastebin against gerryoat1, but there aren't many available moderators to do it at this time.
I will say that if the pastebin's contents are true, then it's pretty damning. 3 moderators agreed with Idioteque's bin, and they went through the games too, so I trust my team in that regard. I am not going to argue against the decision of four moderators when I haven't had the time to read the games myself. If one of the other 3 moderators are available today, I'll ask them to read the defense as well since they were part of the original decision.
Lucid himself agreed to round suspend gerryoat1 from what I know, so all I can do is my best job in evaluating this defense and I can't really say much else; I have a pretty busy day ahead of me and not many other mods are available to do this right now. Just know that it's being read and that we do take these things very seriously.

those that break the rules shall be dealt with accordingly. there is a report system in place. granted, revisions to said system may be fielded to the administrative powers. we can achieve a better epicmafia. with wisdom and democracy, we can reach for redemption and restore bygone glory.
