You're misinterpreting me because all I had to say is that not everyone agreed things weren't better back before the merger, I remember a sizable amount of players being unhappy with it and insisting that training were ruining their precious games

This site will literally never die. I'm 100% sure of this. It has passed us by and nowadays the entire community revolves around playing the same damn simple setup over and over again, but it will keep living. Even if Lucid stopped doing a single thing to this site, it'd still keep going.

Let's be honest, Lucid may not be the best coder around, but he could EASILY create bot players that play like 80% of the current Main Lobby players.

IMO a better solution to that is as follows:

-Stop the registration crap where I need to have 1500 score on this lobby to register, just register everyone by default
-Remove the concept of gold hearts
-First five red hearts played on official setups for the day count.

It resolves everything and has no disadvantage.

The point of red hearts waas to have fun and do whatever we wanted, but now every fun setup is banned even from red heart so they're pointless.


I don't like the idea of removing competition though, it's already super casual. You recognize that red games are basically orange games (to an extent) and this method just improves on an already casual set up. Competitive tryhard games should be somewhere

in theory we could save comp, but lucid would have to do all the legwork and he seems pretty uninterested in saving comp and rather prefers just giving the site a good clean up every now and then
