Hello Sandboxers. Lucid is interested in making new roles, and I know you guys have a bunch of good ideas, so what I'd like to do is get a list of all of the best ideas in this thread and have a poll that you guys can vote on for lucid to make.
On an unrelated note, if you guys know of any bugs with existing roles, please PM me so I can test it out and forward it to lucid so they can get fixed
Not the most original idea, and I haven't checked if something like this has been suggested before, but screw it I like trying to make roles. Feel free to point out that this has been suggested before.
-------------- Snatcher Mafia (could be Third Party as well)
Steals the voice and vote of a person during the day. (Maybe for the rest of the game?) The target can talk, see, and vote in town, but his text and vote doesn't actually appear. Instead, it's only sent to the Snatcher in text that is highlighted, to show what they would say.
Snatcher can't control guns or their night actions. They have a Ventriloquist chat box, to switch between talking as the target and as themselves, and also a second possible vote. Idk if the vote should be fake or real.
Not in mafia meetings. If third party, has to win and keep the target alive. Alternatively, has to get the target lynched, though that might be OP. --------------------
This role probably requires reflexes. I can see it being a fun role to use, especially if the role comes out of nowhere and the target has no idea he's being snatched.

Scammer (Maf)
>Steals a player's night role if they have one through a day meeting.
>Can choose to use the role to their advantage (give fellow mafia a gun, get a cop report on a town, etc)
>Has it's disadvantages because if you gunned/protected a fellow maf people might thing he they are also maf.
>Does not attend mafia night meetings.

>Scammer is immune to oracle but will be revealed if the role the steal dies the night they steal it.
My favourite role that I made is survivor. Basically, if he is alive when the game ends, he wins and nobody else does. So everyone hates him. It does need a better name though.
this is so important a a role and super necessary and imagine how cute a horse would look playing mafia!

how about da ROOSTER (THIRD) every nite u choose smome1 and if that person u chose is da vfirst person to talk they get revealed!! and if u dont get killed or lynched u win
if partysmith can only exist with a party host, then how about applying that same logic to roles such as killer/admirer, and inversely to roles such as lyncher/tree/gallis
otherwise it like those roles will be useless from the start depending on what the roles happen to be in closed role (which is the only place you'll see that one)
Is present with party host present. Gives gun every night leading up to party. Recipients will not learn about their guns until the party starts. Guns can only be used during the party. After the party is blue. Sided with the village.

I was thinking a role that returns all items given to it. So if a gunsmith gunned the role, the gunsmith would get his gun back. Blacksmith would get his vest back and so on. Sided with town. Possible names: Returner or Rubber Man
If Seer is in game, Mafia get a new night meeting. All mafia members must vote in this meeting but it doesn't have a visit.
If mafia agree and guess correctly, they win. If mafia agree and guess incorrectly, the first one that voted gets REVEALED as mafia, as if oracle was on them.
They have to weigh risk of guessing for the win vs. losing mafia members.
