Players who are on epicmafia often, for majority of their day, and people who play ranked a lot, will have the chance to play a little more each time they log in everyday. I notice that I, myself, reach 0 and I'm forced to wait 8+ hours for the next set of hearts.
Reduces mass produced alts (I currently have to use one for that purpose) used for competing in ranked games.
People who dislike unranked games can spend longer in ranked games.
Someone with extra tokens will find this feature useful
More activity in the lobby = New players have a wider variety of games/setups to choose from.
This may increase token purchase rates for the site :)
(New) And for those saying they can buy alts, maybe someone would prefer having all their stats on one account. And plus, less alts = less chance of trolling alts
And besides, people make new emails then use cookie editors/switchers to make alts for free so why not have this idea to make up for it?
Also if possible, maybe with each heart (or set of hearts) bought, the heart income can increase by that amount
Cons:
Scaling the leaderboards faster?
Mention some in the comments and I will see if it is a viable con.
Buy a higher red heart limit

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong since I honestly don't know the first thing about the leader boards, but I would assume that the highest positions are currently held by people who have been here forever and STILL play their twenty every day. Taking this assumed time factor into consideration, wouldn't something like this be more of a great equalizer of sorts for newer players who have a strong sense of commitment to the game? Sure they leader boards WOULD be out of reach for the average Joe player, but aren't they already....?
Red hearts do not contribute to the leaderboard. The leaderboard is for gold hearts only. You get 5 gold hearts per day.
Also, you only get 10 red hearts per day. If you don't use 10 today, the remainder will carry over tomorrow for a maximum of 20. But you do not get 20 fresh hearts per day.

^ How are you scaling the leaderboard more quickly if it's only for red hearts?
If you calculate a period of time one would have to spend to get to the actual top when your elo is like 1100, you'll have to spend several days (if pro) and maybe weeks (if not pro). Effectively, the spent days will be made a shorter time if you have more hearts, thus, quicker. Poor old average Joe needs to wait more time (more days) to get more hearts, while Rich McGee doesn't have to spend the amount of days Joe did in order to beat him to the top.
Just put in a con already, geez. People with more hearts have an advantage over others and will scale the leaderboards quicker than the poor average.
A.k.a money = power.
Just saying "nobody cares about leaderboards" doesn't make the money = power thing any less true. The point of competitive games is to gain points, AND elo. The leaderboards are one of the purposeful mechanics to this game, whether you care or not. And ruining this mechanic by letting the more privileged scale the leaderboards quicker is just... stupid.

I kind of disagree with this idea because, well, that would kind of mean that you could just buy tokens up your way into the leaderboard, which isn't really right. But also, an idea, you should be able to buy only 2 red heart capcity upgrades, in case lucid puts it up.

i actually agree with what devante said. nobody would want to waste money on hearts when there are many ways to get free hearts aka making alts, so i think what we should do is to allow players who have played around 600 games have unlimited red hearts / limited gold hearts (for trophy)

all hibiki wants is to give people more violations.
And more red hearts would mean more reports to give violations for! :)

Basically, you support having people make more alts (which people bypass by making new emails) to sink more time into mafia, INSTEAD OF having less alts, less data in the system to manage these alts, less trolls, and more GOOD names available.

i can't really support an idea that encourages people to sink MORE time into mafia
But then again, people do that anyways with alts. So why not reduce the amount of possible troll alts, and less inactive accounts?
