Vampirekin are individuals that are, feel, and/or believe they are in part or whole (non-physically) a vampire on an integral and personal level. An individual whose body image of their species is that of a vampire. Someone that identifies (non-physically) as a humanoid being that has a diet consisting of blood and/or has other traits sometimes (or most of the time) associated with the (fictional, mythical, folkloric, etc) vampire. Someone who psychologically has a strong personal and integral identification with a being that society would call a “vampire,” or someone who spiritually has the soul/spirit of being that society would call a “vampire.” Someone whose sense of identity fits under the common use of the term “vampire” by society. So on and so forth along the same lines of how other kinds of otherkin (draconics, therians, elfkin, etc) might describe their nonhuman identities and feelings with just “dragons/wolf/elf/etc” replaced with “vampire” in their case. Just to name of a few definitions that could define who and what vampirekin are, though the first and second definition seems to me same of the better ways of trying to define the experience. Least that I have come up with or heard from other vampirekin. Vamprekin are just another kind of otherkin. Their kinype is a vampire.
Depending when you were born, you would either end up locked up in a mental institute or become some wicked shaman if you legit thought you were an animal.
Actually my topic has nothing to do with the other topic. I've only recently become aware of otherkin and the entire concept is mindboggling to me, so in the game thread of "True/False" I asked if they thought it was sane. They said yes. I laughed heartily.

Actually I assume the timing of Riddler's topic has more to do with the slur topic, being there's actually people on EM who identify as otherkin, and yet to my knowledge no one who suffers from mental retardation. Yet it's probable any sort of negative comments made against otherkin wouldn't receive punishment because it's not real, despite the fact that those comments-unlike what Zovea was punished for-actually are more likely to hurt someone on site.
So pretty decent bait topic imo.

i just don't get why it matters to you. i personally don't believe in it, but i also don't really see how it affects me directly in any way shape or form. like why not spend your time doing anything else rather than complaining about stuff that doesn't affect you
