Not even a chess clickbait. I haven't read the pastebin (http://pastebin.com/ufTNVPWc) yet, but this is interesting. I wanna give y'all a fist-bump, 'cause they seemed pretty sketch, but also have some questions.
Why is the charge "excessive meta abuse"? What does that mean, exactly, in this context? That they gave up when against each other, or played to each others' win conditions, consistently? Are y'all confident that these games are representative of their play in recent rounds, and not cherrypicked or anything?
Why the 2 month ban? Why not investigate all the games, 'cause clearly this is a serious paste and ban?

We went from a mod team that let Prevail trophy to a mod team that banned an entire family of middleschoolers because a few of them play together a lot. What a joke.
I liked Ruse for having a family where we could all identify "hey 2 ruse players are there" (legit though). Whereas abc would be on one of a hundred accounts GTing and each frickin account has to be proved to the team that it's a gt alt. I want more families like ruse
back in the day we only had like 6-7 regulars on from like 7 pm aussie to like 11 pm aussie and every game was with like iphi/moxie/edgy/gatso but like we never had any meta abuse since games would fill and we'll play at most 2 games in 4 hours and the rest of the time circlejerking
Not my decree, it's the same logic everyone else has used.
I'm just pointing out that it's only TWO of them that really benefited when playing together. Burton and Snow(the only two I play with regularly) are consistent in their results, regardless of the ban on playing with other members of their family. Yehet and Messi however, were not consistent at all.

i just wanna say that snowflake and burtonx are both really good people and i have enjoyed playing with both of them. and coming from someone that has experienced unwarranted scrutiny by the mods and by butthurt gamers on this site, you all need to chill out because you're running the site into the ground. i don't know if players here get gratification out of seeing other people getting banned or suspended, but it's pathetic and embarrassing to sit and watch. sort this mess out.

Who investigated/banned Ruse? I don't care enough to look it up.
As an Australian I can confirm that they are probably no good beatniks. And I think this serves as a cautionary tale, that making friends online is a bad idea, as people online are generally bad people. I think I am going to form an Eastern Block family, we will run for comp and run narcotics.
