That's a really poor attitude to have while going through school, imo.
It's literally that easy. Half the reason I didn't take school seriously was because I was working with graduates despite not having a degree.

Honestly in my short 1.5-2 month break from this website and many other things, I've progressed a lot in my life and in maturity. So many things happened so quickly and I know there is much more to come. Many things have become less important to me including relevance and popularity, and I see why everyone ever disliked me that much. I still have a lot of growing to do but this time I am hoping to make more friends than enemies. I've even messaged a handful of people whom I especially treated unfairly on here and asked for a do-over. Whether they want to or not is something I won't worry about too much because, again, I have treated them unfairly. The only thing that I can really do at this point is move forward. Cheers to you all.

Ah. I see. As I said, it is and always will be my top goal in life, but that doesn't mean it's currently my number one priority nor is it something I will focus on at such a young age. I understand that there are foundations that need to be built on many different levels. I understand where you're coming from and appreciate your input.

Whatever you say beardy
You should be careful of your mindset regarding parenting.
Explain what you're thinking
Well dude, you're 18. You can't be a good parent until you have your own life in check, well at least in most cases. For the meantime, you're probably better off abolishing the idea of parenthood to work on the other aspects of your life. Moreover, if you get caught up in wanting to be a good parent/father, you'll get pretty quickly attached with people in romantic relationships and that's not healthy.

when i first went back to school, i didn't really know what i wanted to do so i picked cjs just because crime fascinates me. but then i figured out that i'm really great at writing and enjoy doing it, so i switched to english. i figure even if i don't make it as a writer, maybe i can get a nice office job somewhere.
It all depends on how much of a natural writer you are. With the qualification in English, you'll gain access to jobs in proofreading, teaching and etc, but to become a published writer you'll really need to step it up quite a notch. You might get lucky and end up with some editorial or journalistic work too. Quite a lot of writing jobs tend to stress a requirement of 2-3 years experience in creative writing. I wanted to get involved myself, but ultimately I knew I'd fall short. Good luck man.

The only thing that worries me is that I really want to do some jobs I could do a lot of traveling in. As much as I want my dream job, my number one dream in life is to be a great husband and father. I would rather work a job that isn't my dream job and have the best family in the world. I hope I find something I love in my field that doesn't do a lot of traveling.

the jobs i am looking for require masters degrees which i can't get yet bc I'm in debt with student loans from undergrad, so i have to wait a lil while maybe then go back and then maybe i'll get my masters
I'm not sure how things are in America, but you can get on graduate schemes in Britain. It's especially a lot easier when you have a BSc and not a BA.
as a recent college graduate....good luck finding a job after you graduate.
That's what contacts are for.
dang wanna be my contact?
It must be quite easy to get work in marine biology.

I don't think you're qualified to comment on graduate conversation, Mike.
