Federal can mean a lot of things. It's likely that some form of English parliament, with fiscal autonomy for Scotland is what the Tories would prefer.

I'd prefer the Lab-version, where England is cut up into regions which all have similar populations to Scotland & Wales, so that a proportional federation is formed.

heres hoping the tories and dup dont have enough seats combined to form a HP :\

honestly i wanted scotland to get 100% snp so the map would be a nice pretty yellow
almost 11 years
but SNP can never advance out of scotland so how do they plan to... you know... get any power

PS. define federal

blackpool south got labour... now north it's your turn...
deletedalmost 11 years
That's the big question.

The SNP routing of Scotland means a Federal UK is on the cards. Something has to be done in that regard.
almost 11 years
how do labour plan to win without the support from scotland unless things change drastically w/ the economy/england
deletedalmost 11 years
Zero. But Scottish Labour might break off from Labour into a separate left wing Unionist party.

It's more likely that Scottish Labour, Scottish Tories and Scottish Lib Dems merge than SNP do with any of them. There's no benefit to the SNP in merging with the people they beat.
almost 11 years
if it continues to be this way, what are the chances that labour/snp will merge in the future

UKIP have gained a total of one (1) seats this year. that's an ∞% increase compared to 2010

Labour aren't doing well enough in England, that's why. Mathematically it's not possible.

according to kerry's facebook, or the people showing up on it, scotland are to blame for this conundrum. frankly, i find that hilarious

SNP gain from Labour is plastered all over scotland lol

thanks for looking out for me with your poll vote, bill

why won't labour/SNP get in? wasn't that rumoured/gossiped to be their intent?
deletedalmost 11 years
There's no way Labour/SNP will get in. It's likely a Tory minority government, or a Tory/DUP coalition. Horrific. The Tories will go into civil war over Europe and be held to ransom by the eurosceptics.

Looking at 2020, Kerry. Looks like Labour are getting crushed in Brighton too. Might have a vacancy.

oh, and SNP won by a landslide here, so it really wouldn't have made a difference. at least kerry didn't have to walk far to the polling station lolol
