good for them but that isnt the brevity of the situation right now and you are making yourself look bad by continuing to post when a bunch of people are riled up about the topic at hand

i like how they felt the need to list the guy's "criminal record" in the article

They do that for every black person that is killed by a police officer or in police custody. They need to criminalize and dehumanize black people to let everyone know that their death was justified.

yeah i know but in these protests CNN will never show the peaceful ones, I was watching for like 2 hours and i only saw violent igant ****as on the TV for the most part

It's like that on every news network because the moment that a small amount of blacks show their they have to exploit it because they don't want to come to terms with the fact that THE THAT THEY MURDERED ANOTHER BLACK PERSON FOR NO GOD DAMN REASON.

They're lucky that all they are doing are looting and cutting up firehoses.

Togepi i like you and we'll probably never see eye to eye on this, but I can't support when black people protest because literally nothing comes out of the protests other than white people laughing at black people and further validating stereotypes against black people. Destroying a city that you live in accomplishes nothing, throwing rocks and objects at pigs no matter how much they deserve it cannot bring any justice it'll just cause civil unrest and hurt whatever is left of the relationship between police and citizens of the community more. 15 police officers being hurt does nothing other than make them bring out the riot squad tonight, pepper spray and tear gas peaceful protesters.

You can be angry but you gotta be smarter and mourn smarter than destroying a city and looting stores at the end of the day.

If the actions of an individual is representative of an entire race, then it is justified for the police to be more brutal towards blacks because they have higher homicide rates. You can't have it both ways.

But the actions of one individual does NOT represent an entire race... you're basically saying it's okay for police to senselessly murder blacks because we have higher black on black murder rates? Um no...it's not okay. Especially when we have to look at the police as a type of role model...protect and serve ammiright?

Police are just playing a game with us. You probably don't understand because you're not a minority and you live comfortably and can sleep at night because you don't have to worry about getting shot by the police who ride the subway on your way to school.
