People naively think that police should never use excessive violence, like it is a switch they turn on and off. "Oh he's black, time to use excessive violence". That isn't how it is. It is a spectrum from no force to deadly force, and in every situation, police have to make split second decisions on how to handle those situations, it is what they are trained to do. It is a mathematical inevitability that they will make mistakes, however people need to realize that there will be mistakes on both sides of the spectrum. Sure, in the past 3 years, several young black men have had an alleged excess of force used against them. But what about all the stories where police officers die due to not using lethal force before a criminal? What about the children who get shot in crossfires in Detroit because the police aren't cracking down on crime fast enough or with enough force? It's easy to criticize the .001% of interactions between police and suspects where the police use more force than necessary, but what about all the other times when the police facilitate a safer society? Are some police guilty of a "cowboy" mentality where they think they are above the law? Of course, and they should be reprimanded, but we need to realize that there is an acceptable amount of police brutality, just like there is an acceptable amount of murder, or r*pe , or burglary.

put bearissoslow behind the steering wheel of a police cruiser and he'd pee his pants at the thought of having to pull over a stranger for speeding
Did you decide you were messing around before or after I dragged you?

But while my loved ones was fighting the continuous war back in the city, I was entering a new one A war that was based on apartheid and discrimination Made me wanna go back to the city and tell the homies what I learned The word was respect Just because you wore a different gang colour than mine's Doesn’t mean I can’t respect you as a black man Forgetting all the pain and hurt we caused each other in these streets If I respect you, we unify and stop the enemy from killing us
Kendrick Lamar's album, now bloods and crips are uniting to take out pigs. KING. KENDRICK
i grew up with both of my parents being cops so my perspective is definitely skewed, but cops put their lives on the line every day, so the least we owe them is to not generalize hundreds of thousands of them just because of what a few of them do. my dad was also hella racist. my parents are weird.
i don't even know if that has to do with anything in this thread, i joined in late.
ya thats what i was saying i mean instead of being like oh yeah these ppl r blah blah blah you could say yeah this one cop was terrible or this one teacher sucks instead of saying cops suck and teachers suck when some of them actually try to help

Wow jWizard that's a whole lot of big words are you sure you know what you're talking about.
Personally, I hope the National Guard start shooting down some of these savage-like scum that are looting and raiding Baltimore City. Baltimore City is like a lawn that needs to be mowed down. ASAP.
black cop kills white man, nobody cares. white cop shoots black man, togepis up in arms.
The reason stories involving white men murdering black men spreads like wildfire is primarily because of those god-damned liberals and the Obama administration.
Liberals want racial minorities to feel like they're eschewed from the rest of society because it will make them feel like they need big government more. Thereby, when election day comes, the liberal candidates will sucker in votes with their promises of "change".

I guess that would be accurate if you were around/knew me when that event actually happened. The only thing that you are good at Kyle is cultivating arguments around things that you have Googled because you don't have the intellectual depth to form actual parallels on your own. GJ, kid.
