Bernard can only know it if it was May 19 or June 18 and since Albert knows that Bernard does not know it he mustn't have either of those months

the first line rules them out dude. the first line is the first guy saying he knows the other dude can't have an 18 or a 19 to solve the puzzle immediately because the month he has doesn't contain any unique numbers.

Both those months have a date that are unique. A stated that it was impossible for B to have those dates seeing that he started with July
