I've been raised to think "America is the only way, there is nowhere better than America, and if you think otherwise you're a treasonous loser who doesn't deserve to live here." As I've grown to be older a (a bit) wiser, I have the opposite of those thoughts. It is fact that there are many aspects in which the United States lacks, and certain European countries do not lack. There is nothing opinionated about it, it's strictly fact. Now, the matter of opinion is whether or not you can live with or without these aspects, and if you would be happier in another country. There are different things here that I can see now, especially since I've been doing some light research, that I really wish we did and didn't do. My parents are hardcore Republicans and Conservatives, so I've been basically sheltered from all of the issues coming from either of the parties. My parents believe the current president to be the anti-Christ. I do not believe he is the anti-Christ, but I surely do not think he is a good president. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I were to move to a different country. This is a weird world, man.

Vehemently conservative political science majors in my political science class argue that people care about injustices that don't directly affect them in America (IE Ferguson) but that they shouldn't be expected to care about other countries because, and I quote, "Bad things happen in other countries all of the time"
