It really pains me to make this thread because of how much I appreciate this modteam as a whole. I've thoroughly enjoyed the ~4 months I've modded (on and off) and that's all thanks to you guys. Particularly though, I wanted to give my man Jasper a special shoutout. The entire time I've modded under his adminship he has pushed me and the entire team forward and he really deserves more appreciation than he gets. Speaking to him in private or in the modchat about modding matters has always been incredibly easy to do and he has been holding this mess of a site together, along with you guys, really well in spite of all the occasional forum backlash.
Sadly, it's time for me to hang my epicmafia.com boots until an undisclosed date. I've lost my interest in the site and thus lost motivation to keep my report levels above quota and am only really doing it to help you guys out because I really appreciate you all. Steve, Zach, mangofruit and vilden have all been impressive additions to the team and I'm really glad we have a good squad on us. I just feel like clinging onto a position I cannot fulfill isn't fair to myself or, more importantly, the team.
There are just a few noticeable imperfections I would like to address only because I want the team to grow. I notice there is a lot of report nitpicking, every time I log in to do reports I find all the latest GRS and HC reports all done and GT/OGI/Trolling reports or appeals all stacking up on me and other mods. This leads to less motivation reports-wise, I think we should enforce a "do the oldest reports first unless you have bias etc" rule on the modteam, it'll lead to a healthier and more efficiently functioning modteam with a higher teamspirit morale, so it doesn't feel like mods are just picking out the easier looking reports to have higher report counts. That's just ultimately selfish and doesn't seek to improve the modteam or the site. Another problem we have is that whenever we want to propose changes on the modforums the discussions are either slow or don't ever happen. Rondar and I have been trying to work on a harassment rewording for quite a long time yet the entire thread is just bumps https://epicmafia.com/topic/68623 . I'm going to be really busy with real life right now but I want to see you guys grow and improve, not stay stagnant with the way things are.
Nonetheless, I would like to stress out again that you've all been wonderful. Polo with the cheating investigations, Arcbell with keeping foxiebox running, Steve and Zach with the impressive effort belted each day into reports, all of your collective efforts as a modteam and Jasper's running of the whole thing. I'll drop in from time to time and keep in touch, but right now it's time for me to get going.
