This is a tentative idea that I do not expect to be implemented any time in the near future; however, I believe it is worth acknowledging the possibility of a system that resets the total points a player has in order to give others a chance to achieve the "highest total score," which is an accolade largely monopolized (of course due to their skill and aptitude), by SuperNova, EvilPyro, and MafiaGod.
This is not to undermine the extremely significant time, effort, and ability put into the game by these players, but rather to offer an alternative award. What I am proposing is to allow a point reset at a certain point cap, and awarding the player a "prestige" of sorts. Yes, the idea was born from the popular American franchise "Call of Duty." The awarded prestige would count as a player decoration, similar to a trophy.
Again this is a very hesitant idea, and one that I'm not entirely sure would be efficient. I am more curious about the community's opinion on the matter.
I cannot help but notice how exceedingly off topic this entire conversation has become. I'm glad to have gotten the opinions of those of you who were more interested in addressing the topic at hand, rather than those who spent the entire time sniping everyone else. I played an embarrassing amount of time for my points, so I don't want to lose them to a reset. The all time points largely reflect someone's ability to play a lot on one account. It doesn't mean much more than that. If you want it to, it'd be better to have it be most points from main lobby in x amount of time, but I'd be annoyed if I got stat wiped

I'm on the leaderboard legitimately with just over 136k points, but at least I don't play as much as Supernova
