poignant movie scenes

over 10 years

this thread may or may not already exist but i wanna have a film discussion

in your opinion, what's the most touching movie scene you've come across?? i was listening to the american beauty soundtrack because i'm using parts of it in a short film and it made me want to talk about emotive moments in cinema

I was moved enough by them to remember them in succession.

the beach scene from Her for me. I really love that movie and the scene is just really warm, and the soundtrack compliments it perfectly. It's not sad or anything but it makes me feel

i loved her so much and i thought the casting was incredible. i didn't even recognize that the protagonist was joaquin phoenix until about halfway through and usually i find scarlett johansson really awkward but i thought her voice was perfect

Mike... The OP says "touching" scenes... Not just "good" scenes. I don't know if you're doing this right.

The opening scene from Inglorious Basterds.

The soundtrack of that movie was phenomenal as well.

One of my favorite scenes in any movie was the long shot in Children of Men when they're running through the warzone. The camera work was absolutely incredible.
