Awesome. My mate is sponsored by a beard oil company.
it's pretty okay, i've been shaving it for the past 3 years so i almost forgot what having hair feels like but it's definitely colder in winter than it would be with hair (hence the beard). I like it though, low maintenance, I can use bar soap instead of shampoo and save money that way.
the main reason is because christianity wasn't the first religion, and so that begs the question: Why would christianity's god be any more real than the polytheistic gods of various older religions (mesopotamian religion, etc). I don't think that believing in a god is really that important anyway. It's basically just the religion's code anthropomorphized into a spirit or human form.
Also, when many things in a religion are deemed "false" by logic, it brings the validity of the unproved stuff into question. Such as: There was no flood that flooded the world, instead it was probably the Tigris and Euphrates rivers that flooded which became a story of the flood. (there was another flood myth in mesopotamian mythology as well, so begs the question again, why is christianity any more right than mesopotamian polytheism)
anyway i can go on and on but there's my short/long answer
