I used to be a competitive dancer for 13 years until I had to quit because of hgfjdgfhdj.
(if you wanna know, PM me.)
I still love it dearly and love discussing it and sharing my passion of it with other people, though. Sooooo.... anyone like to dance or have taken dance lessons? If you want any tips ask me, I was queen of dance :}
FUN FACT: My studio was asked by Lifetime to have our own show (Dance Moms). The owner of our studio declined, so they then asked Abby Lee and she obviously said yes. :3

I used to dance like 30 hours a week. I remember it like it was yesterday.....
and its especially important to stretch and practice over breaks because you lose certain moves super quickly if you dont keep up with it
When people say dance isn't a sport, they definitely don't mean the amount of work put into it fyi. But that's a whole different debate.~

I don't know a lot about how it works. All 3 of my little sisters usually end up getting to nationals but usually only my eldest sister does really well at that level. I feel comfortable saying that the most recent one was in LA.
That's awesome apple ^_^ I haven't taken any dance lessons (parents, etc) though I did do figure skating. I have been trying to teach a bit of dance to myself just for fun.

Also anyone who doesn't consider competitive dance a sport is completely wrong. She goes to school, dances diligently for 3-4 hours a day, does her homework and repeats. They work their tails off to stay competitive.

Well usually those competitions tour so they aren't in a specific area, but yeah.
A bunch of alumni from my studio went to become Rockettes. And if she's constantly placing in top 3 at Nationals and Regionals, she can very well get there :}

I don't want to give too much information about her away on a public internet forum. She's amazing though and she makes me proud :). She wants to be a Rockette someday.

That's pretty impressive. Do you know which competitions she goes to? I usually went to DEA, KAR, In10sity, Starpower and a few other ones

My darling angel little sister consistently places top 3 at nationals for dance. I'm not much for the sport but she's certainly amazing at it
