mm yeah fair enough, i'm not a fan of gore so i guess it kinda put me the wrong way.
also, I almost forgot but The Fly (from the 80's) has some sincerely mentally scarring scenes

yeah it gets p graphic towards the end but i guess since i like gore i didn't mind but i wouldn't normally recommend it someone who is squeamish or doesnt like jumpscares
the descent (scary n don't watch if ur claustrophobic bc it makes it feel like ur in a cave)
tbh i rented this movie and i had it hyped up for me and it was a really, really dreadful watch. i felt really sick by the end of it but just because it was excessively violent and not scary
the conjuring (spooky paranormal stuff) fright night (ok its vampires but its the only vampire movie thats worth watching) evil dead (rly gross) trick r treat (fun to watch w friends) the descent (scary n don't watch if ur claustrophobic bc it makes it feel like ur in a cave)
rosemary's baby uhhh antichrist isn't really horror but it may be for some ju-on the exorcist the thing house house of the devil blair witch project if you want to see where the "find footage" trope came from
babadook is good :-) the taking of deborah logan is a fun one to watch its not GREAT but its not bad I LOVE CABIN IN THE WOODS BTW jennifers body isn't actually scary but it's so good i love it ummmmmmmmmmmmm thats like. what i can think of off top of my head........
