well i'd say getting invited by a friend to a random game is a lot different than getting invited to help secure a trophy. it's a lot different depending on the time of the round, unless this person is 'running' from day 1.
This. Also, some semi-regular usual gold heart players tend to try harder in games if they know that someone in the game is trying to win a trophy, whether or not they are the same alignment as the runner(s) in the game
it's always modestly sketchy because you know that most of the time you're going to be playing for your friend's win condition subconsciously in that situation though. It's not cheating, but it's just the nature of the game.
if you play with them for most of the round beginning to the end why would last day matter
because when you play early in the round with friends, you're just playing. Later in the round, people pay much more attention to the scoreboard and will try to help their friends more so than play just to play. This isn't bad inherently, but it can be.
