wifi pokemon youtube videos are bizarre because they blew up big because wifi battling had never really been a huge thing prior to gen 4, and thus it was this weird mysterious "waht is this" thing. which explains the rise and fall of youtubers like haydunn and tkn.

the only let's players i can tolerate are bikdiponabus, who've been subscribed to since like middle school even though he basically sucks, and gamegrumps, because i sometimes need a dumb laugh. i dedicated 9 hours of my day to let's playing.
i have an irl friend who runs a let's play channel. it's moderately successful but he stopped it once he got a job and moved out. he got like 12 million views on one video.
