I don't like /need/ it because I'm naturally sized up a bit, but I want to get abs

I don't believe in new years resolutions; it's technically just another day and if you already have a long-term goal in mind, why wait for the new year for? To start fresh? You can start whenever you feel like it; you're not obligated to make it into a new years resolution

I'm trying to get bigger (gain more mass), but bulking has been a challenge due to not having enough time to go to the gym, also bulking and becoming fatter without working out has been a consequence of this

But I don't really mind, for now lol

I think people like them because, as you said, they feel like it's a fresh start and everything will go better if they're not in the previous year when everything sucked for them.

(or maybe I'm misconstruing the entire idea of resolutions).

Cut down on EM, and go back to my pre-EM income glory days. Possibly start going to the gym.
