Right now the mod team is discussing spamming as a vio and we're considering condensing it into one vio. This means that spamming in unranked games will now be a community vio and thus against the rules, contrary to how it is currently moderated. It would also be moderated in sandbox, which it currently isn't.

Right now, we just want to get a consensus of how the site feels about this. Do you think spamming should be moderated in unranked + sandbox?

Sims actually this thread was made strictly with the intention of making it a community violation in order to moderate it in sandbox as well.

Sure, the mods changed their mind now, but anyone who reads the OP doesn't know that, plus the votes in the poll reflect the OP

Not in sandbox though, so it's basically slowly going back to lighter moderated rules in un ranked

So your solution to not changing the rules is to have bronto lobby ban people for not technically breaking the rules?

Are you saying that Lobby owners can not ban anyone without them breaking the site rules?

If a lobby is a default lobby, and the title of owner was bestowed upon them by Lucid, then they can't just be ban people willy-knilly.

For instance, the owner of Survivor lobby can't just go around banning people he doesn't like.

Anyway, you do know that before unranked was lightly moderated in non-sandbox lobbies? You can just go back to that without making it a community vio if you want to make unranked main lobby more legitimate. However this would apply to the non-spamming rules as well.

Yes, I believe we used to actually moderate all unranked games lightly for game violations. We're trying to come up with a solution quickly. I'd like to thank everyone for their patience.

Sandbox moderation of spamming isn't really being considered at the moment. The main issue is with unranked main lobby games.

Yes, and I'm saying that we've heard the feedback and are no longer considering giving spamming violations in sandbox games. I appreciate that you took the time to read the thread, though.
