Alpha Phi Omega, my experience with them isn't the best indicator because we have the rowdiest chapter thank god. Went to sectionals for all the chapters in the state and it was a reminiscent of an 8th grade dance.
Ahh, okay. It seemed a lot less "intense". They're having a meet and greet tomorrow, so I'm going to go and check it out. I'm already joining three different clubs and I know there's only so much you can do, but there's no harm.

It usually requires more time than a social fraternity in the sense of service requirements but less "be around us" than a social fraternity. Service fraternities usually require you attend some of their weekly meetings and then they have other requirements that are done each semester but if you count it as part of well, doing service, then you'll find it to looks better on some applications. Also it's like 10x cheaper and you don't have to dress up.

Hazing is tamed due to the fact you can get in trouble with anything so I wouldn't worry about that. It's a short-cut to making friends if you don't mind paying.
