It's not dam hard just add a optional filter that can be turned off. Make the option to turn it off easy to find. Job done. Everything else is a petty silly detail.

Hey wait a second why does this thread title seem so familiar
The current community of my (and pan's) lobby has ceased it as well, since we lost that portion of the community and they made their own lobby. The communities of the various rp lobbies are really fucking spread though, so I don't generally know how they go about things? locked games in locked lobby wont mess up adsense right? Or should I try to somehow spread the word, even if my head gets bitten off?
As much as I hate to admit it, locked rp maf groups often broke the x-rated content rules with their rping. I generally tried to keep my group out of it, but I dont really have much respect from the community and they mostly just hated me for it. If you look far enough back in our lobby comments you'll see my posting the x-rated content rule with a notice to keep it in their gently caressing pants or move it to skype. This was in locked games tho, which im not sure google cares about? Nor do they do it on the forums at least i... i think... I hope? I pray to god?

Maybe, but God knows. I think if it were a 1 time pay (and if it weren't we wouldn't use it) it'd pay off now, but what about when a new community (haha us leaving) comes in? Views-per-page can sustain a site, while a one time pay for a forum that only the competitive users (and a small, select, obsessive group of them) want to use
It wouldn't just be for comp users though. I'm sure there's quite a few other niche groups across the site that are going to be affected by the new policy, including the dangan mafia folks. I'm sure they wouldn't mind having a dedicated 18+ forum, or paying a small sum for the privilege.
wait, what goes on in dangan mafia? why wouldn't they mind an 18+ forum????????????????????
Eh, I really think the amount of users that will make a first time purchase of tokens (5$ min afaik) just so they can post 18+ things is low regardless of the lobby

A thought just occurred to me.
It's a bit funny that, for quite some time now, lucid's insisted that the competitive community on this site is expendable, but now all of a sudden it's imperative that we clean up the competitive forums so that he can still make a bit of change to maintain the site.
If the community was as irrelevant as previously expressed, wouldn't the solution to just remove the ads from the comp forums be a feasible option?
Also. Depending on how much lucid actually makes from adsense in the comp forums, and I might be reaching, but I'm almost positive that if you made some sort of pay-for-access function for an ad-free 18+ forum, that the community could quite possibly make up for the lost ad revenue if you removed adsense from said 18+ forum.
I've seen **** (with the f and the s) a lot from users that know about the changes and (I believe) have made an effort to adhere to them

I've hardly seen that much excessive swearing hear maybe a [expletive deleted] and a ***** there, but not really anything that would make a saint weep.
Riddler wants the different filter because ***** is both ugly and draws attention to the censor. Replaced words is humorous, draws less attention, and keeps the flow.
Okay. I like that you've pointed out that **** draws attention to it. I think word replacement, however, would be silly and too much work

Sometimes, swear words don't need to be humorous. Most swears are used to accentuate a point and nothing else, and I doubt anyone here would be abusing the filter so much that posts would be unreadable.
