it's hard to play seriously in comp with 1 account against people with like 5 alts or who share accounts. i can barely play 5 gold heart games within the 24 hour period while these chucklefucks with no lives can run through a bunch of comp games, if you look at basic probability someone with 2 accounts is twice as likely to trophy as someone with 1, someone with 3 is thrice as likely, etc etc
in addition the lax entry requirements also permit banned users / users multiaccounting to mess with the ranking
realistically maybe 30 or 40 people "run" in comp matches and we all deserve a comp that is more fair against the secret teams that meet up on discord

sometimes people want to play comp because comp games are more fun than red heart games. Sometimes, people comp without wanting to run. Sometimes--just let me waste my life on epicmafia when i choose to, please
All of these do not help sh** (clearing browser cookies and restarting your modem fixes all of these), and banning TOR IPs is just restrictive for those who actually need this to bypass censorship (e.g. chinese).
What would be effective is implementing some sort of 2-factor-authentication where you have to verify your account through SMS. While you can fake these too, of course, the user has to put a lot of effort and money in order to do so and probably prevents most of the alts.

it's very easy for moderators to recognize suspicious activity by making a Eulerian path or heatmap of the current round
I don't understand the rest of paragraphs, but I agree with the first one. It's much more difficult to win a trophy on one account but incredibly easy to win without account filled with alts. Players like pranay and soda brag about all their trophies that they have spread across all their accounts, but they only start with at least 8 accounts and continue running on these where they're actually winning.
Also, from my experience it's extremely difficult to stay unbiased towards a runner when my alt is running but the current account not. Imagine that pranay doesn't hammer out of salt on running accounts, which is pretty otherwise on non-running ones.
im a one - two account player but usually just quit after 10-15 games. unless you play table after table and adapt with the group's meta, it's hard to solo win rounds. that's why i'm really an inconsistent trophier. i can only play 2-3 games at a time
If you aren't willing to spend the whole day on Epic Mafia, get your friends to throw for you and multiaccount with your own toss alts, you don't deserve to trophy.
