This thread is about betting on which well-known people are going to die in the year of 2017.

How this thread works is that you suggest up to 10 names in your posts and they will be added to the Dead Pool. There will be points awarded based on several criteria. For example, the younger or otherwise healthy a person is, the more points you'll gain for correctly guessing them (preventing people from just picking 10 super old people and raking in the points). Another thing to note is that the more people who place bets on someone to die, the less points they're worth; so, if you're the only person with, for example, Aaron Paul on your list and he dies - you're in for a lot of points.

You may change who is on your Dead Pool at any time, but your whole list must always total 10 or less people.

THERE WILL BE A £50 (~$60) PRIZE AT THE END OF THE YEAR FOR WHOEVER HAS THE MOST POINTS.

Every person is initially worth 100 points, with extra points being added or subtracted based on the following:

• 25 years old or younger: +75 points
• 35 years old to 26 years old: +50 points (excluding 27 years old)
• 27 club: +100 points
• 75 years old or older: -25 points
• 95 years old or older: -50 points
• 105 years old or older: -90 points
• Unnatural cause of death: +25 points
• Experiencing health problems: -50% of their total points (only if you add them to your list AFTER they start having problems)
• Appearing on multiple lists: -5 points for every 2 lists they appear on
