Before Trophy Games the Survivor Lobby had a points system similar to the rest of the site. You'd gain a certain amount of points based on your placement in ranked games and the first person to reach the point amount set at the beginning of the round would claim the Gold and the two players who were below them at that time would be awarded Silver and Bronze. This system went on for 5 trophies before ultimately being discarded due to people actively targeting the players who were closer to getting the Trophy relentlessly in games as well as other various flaws that arose such as players not having enough free time to participate in enough games giving those with more free time an advantage as they had more chances to earn points. Despite many efforts from hosts/mods to try and balance the system it was ultimately decided that round format would not work for our lobby and shortly after the Trophy Game format that we currently use would come to be, along with its own pros and cons.
