I mean it happens and people will get lucky, and that's what a lot of people will be upset about, but in the end it is safer to run in 2 party setups because you have a lot more control. ALIO is high risk high reward, and most people will end up being screwed over by solo wins rather than the other way around, by definition of solo wins.
I like how I kept my agreement with Vancy on not comping 3+ party setups in return for adding Cthulhu to main and plussing my setup, but Scholsey then did it anyway so I didn't have to.
True Steven, but this implies that most Survivors are good lol. We don't know that. If you put good players in each respective position, they'd be likely to win more, truly, but if all of the people playing are good players, then this negates itself for the most part.
You're right still

No it's not. And I grabbed 60% by roughly doubling survivor percentage, which is just a guess.
Think about it this way. You have survivor who wins one game with town and one game with mafia. Even though the statistics will show that as 2 wins for survivor out of 4 because of how the system works, (therefore 50% win for vivor and 25/25) survivor actually won all the games.
Survivor is incredibly hard to not joint with. This means that you will almost always get half points for your win, for statistically about the same chances of winning (about 50/50 if you ignore warlock). And that is less points that on a balanced setups.
Sometimes you get lucky and survivor dies, and sometimes 90% of the table loses because warlock got lucky. There's more chances to "get lucky" but on average the point payout is worse
I wasn't aware that Survivor joints so much. I figured Mafia kill them most of the time when they can. If we had joint statistics then perhaps these statistics would become more accurate, because it would show how often mafia and town joint with Survivor, and therefore, sacrifice a large portion of their points for winning.
Agreed. And if you think about it this way, survivor can't be killed if they scumhunt and just hide behind mafia. Any smart survivor will hide correctly, and lynching survivor is death for town because it wastes a ML.
I won a silver on ALIO once by consistently lynching survivor as mafia for a solo win, but that was one of the hardest things to pull off, and it would force me to CC survivor instead of something more useful. And of course only sometimes worked

It is, but it isn't game-ending. It's just the same as if cult culted the shrink. Cult can't go mad.
