If you do not agree with the verdict on a given report, you as a user are allowed to appeal the decision for a second opinion. This system allows users to make sure they are getting the most accurate decision possible for any report filed and to ensure that all moderators are on the same page.
To file an appeal, go to the Report page (at https://epicmafia.com/report) and file a report on the moderator who made the decision with which you disagree. Next, in the Description field, type [APPEAL] and then link the URL of the report you are appealing. Then, simply type out your opinion on the report and why you believe that the moderator made the wrong decision.
In order for a report to be sustained, one moderator must agree with the decision. To be overturned, two moderators must agree with the decision. This is to make sure that, regardless of the decision, there are two different moderators in agreement with the verdict of the report.
Things to note:
- Insulting a moderator within your appeal may result in the appeal being closed without consideration.
- You may not appeal a Note in order to try to make it become no violation.
- If you are interested in appealing in order to get a refund, it may be simpler to PM the moderator who completed the report rather than filing an appeal.
- If a non-mod site user wants to file an appeal for a report, they must do so within 7 days of the report being closed.
